Accounts Assistant – Accounting Technician (AAT) Apprenticeship

We are looking for an Apprentice seeking a career in Accountancy.  The position requires someone who is extremely motivated, highly organised, keen to deal with our clients face to face, and has strong IT skills.  This would be ideal for a Sixth Form leaver.

We will support you through the Accounting  Technician Apprenticeship (resulting in a recognised qualification as a member of the AAT – Association of Accounting Technicians), and train you with the skills needed to become a key member of our ever growing in-house accounts Team.

Responsibilities

– Assisting the accounts team on various internal and/or client related matters, including the completion of clients’ accounts and tax returns.
– Communicate with clients, other professional advisers, and HMRC in a friendly and professional manner, as a representative of our firm.
– Organising your own workload to meet both internal and external deadlines.
– Liaising and assisting with other teams and directors’ workloads where necessary.

Profile

– Sixth Form leaver with suitable A Levels, with Grades C and above.
– GCSE Maths and English at least Grade 5.
– Clear verbal and written communication skills.
– IT skills with knowledge of Excel and Word.
– Motivated to succeed.
– Attention to detail.
– Use of a car would be advantageous, but not essential.
