We are a large independent firm of business advisers and chartered accountants based in Hartlepool, with five directors, and around forty team members.

We’re a professional, approachable, fun and friendly bunch, who pride ourselves on building strong and long-term relationships.

Our people enjoy working in a team environment with full support for their training and development needs.

Vacancies - BAT team

We work from modern offices on The Marina in Hartlepool. Our visitors have ample car parking and access to our building is via a secure entry intercom system. Our suite of meeting rooms and conference rooms are situated on the ground floor, with our team working from our first floor open plan areas.

The majority of our team have the benefit of hybrid working, if preferred, agreed in a way which works for both the individual and the business.

As a firm, we take recruitment seriously. The most important qualities in any team member would be sharing the same core values and team culture.

“I started with Waltons at the beginning of October 2020, in the midst of Covid with the ‘work at home if you can’ arrangements applying.  I was only in the office for approximately a week before the rules changed again, and I had to work from home.  I must admit, at the time, this was a strange way of starting a new job!   
However, from the outset, the team and the directors have all supported me, ensuring I had everything I needed to succeed in my new role.  I must admit, I prefer to work from the office, but some of my team have chosen to continue to work a hybrid role, and Waltons continues to support hybrid working where possible.  

 

Our busy periods can sometimes be challenging, but I have always thrived on being busy, and I’m part of a hardworking and fun team, who all support each other and I feel like I’ve fit in really well.
