Meet the Team: Kate Wells, Finance Assistant
Kate, now 24, joined Waltons as an apprentice with our payroll team, in August 2015, after leaving school.
Kate became interested in the AAT qualification, therefore began her studies and after a short while, moved across to work within our Accounts Team. She was given her own portfolio of clients, following her training and on the job experience in the office.
After temporarily assisting our Finance Team a few days a week, Kate was offered a full time role, which she’s really enjoying.
Kate is currently training with our Finance Manager, Jeanette Henderson, with the intention that in due course, Kate will take over the Finance Manager position.
Kate has proven herself diligent, flexible and thorough, in all aspects of her role.
Jeanette joined Waltons almost two years ago, and says of Kate “It is a pleasure to work with Kate, she is pleasant, hardworking and nothing is too much trouble. I am delighted to be training her to become our next Finance Manager, and I have every confidence that she will be extremely successful in the role”.
Kate has embraced the opportunity offered to her and in due course will be a valued member of our Management Team. Kate is a reflection of our very successful Apprenticeship Programme, and epitomises the value of Apprenticeships and the added value of ‘learning on the job’.
