Assistant Manager – Cloud Accounting & Tax (CAT) Team

Dan has worked in the accountancy industry since 2005. He’s been involved in various roles, starting with admin, while waiting patiently for an accounts position to become available.  He soon went on to gain experience in VAT, payroll, and company secretarial.

Starting his accounts journey working with sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, while also preparing company tax returns and P11Ds, Dan became AAT qualified in November 2009, and then mainly concentrated on accounts and tax related work, also keeping himself involved in VAT jobs.

In February 2016, Dan joined Waltons, responsible for the preparation of accounts for our limited company clients with turnovers varying from £100k to £5m, including the preparation of management accounts and personal tax returns.

After gaining Advanced Certification in August 2017, Dan’s passion for cloud accounting led him to become our Cloud Champion.

Dan was responsible for migrating the majority of our VAT registered clients on to cloud software, to comply with HMRC’s Making Tax Digital scheme, which led to him taking over our VAT team in April 2019.  Dan is now an Assistant Manager of our CAT team, and continues to oversee the work carried out in the VAT team

The proud and busy father of two girls, Dan also enjoys DJing in his spare time.
